Regular connections make stronger connections

Gatherings encourage connection, broaden our community, and develop friendships that last a lifetime. The Ability Resource Center hosts events in the Madison area for members, including special events where members can bring their friends and families.

Our members are the heart of the Ability Resource Center

“I really love to hang with my friends at the Creativity Club. Some people do craft projects and some just watch and talk with their friends. It is a great gathering place.”

Rame, Ability Resource Center member

“The Ability Resource Center is important to me because it is a place for meeting people and for social interaction. I have maintained so many friendships through the Ability Resource Center.”

Hope, Ability Resource Center member

“I have been involved with this since the beginning. Having the center is something special. It is close by where I live. I love the people. Dedra did an amazing job hiring the staff. I do the wardrobe and I decided to help out with sound for the Ability Ambassadors. I help hire the staff on the hiring committee. I am involved in different things and it helps me to become independent – it’s really inclusive so people with disabilities can be involved in something new.”
